She is passionate about improving the property, putting in vegie beds, planting a small orchard and getting some chooks. She is responsible for the day-to-day running of Bass Hill Hermitage.
Bass Hill Hermitage has grown out of a long held dream to provide a place for prayer, quiet, solitude and rest. We purchased the property in late 2011 and welcomed our first retreatant in December 2012.
Having had the opportunity over the past thirty years to avail of regular Spiritual Direction, Spiritual Formation, numerous Directed Retreats, including the 30 Day Ignation Long Retreat, we each feel called to share what we have learnt along the way.
It doesn't matter where you are on your spiritual journey, if you are a beginner, or have never made a silent retreat before, we can give you the support you need. Experienced retreatants are welcome to make a self-guided retreat if they wish to do so. If you are 'somewhere in between' we are happy to explore with you what would be most helpful for you.
We continue to improve the property. Part of our dream is to run an integrated system in terms of growing some fruit and vegies, and caring for the land....responding to the invitation to
"live in right relationship with God, self, others and the earth".
